« CNet evaluates toolbars | Main | Customer relations gone sour » November 24, 2004Free shares forgotten: worth fortuneAccording to Wired: Thousands of web surfers who signed up six years ago for a free stock giveaway at discount travel startup Travelzoo are sitting on a small windfall as the company nears the end of a record-breaking year for share price appreciation. Apparently, up to 700,000 registered for 5-20 free shares each in 1998 from Travelzoo - an otherwise unpromising company sailing through the Dotcom boom years. However, with shares currently valued at around $60 a pice, that means some investors could be sitting on a free $1500 reward. Some poeple are assured good Christmas shopping...
