According to the CMO report, online survey of approximately 800 senior marketing and C-level executives, 38% of respondents said they could boost incremental revenue by more than 20% if their companyfs new business development practices were more effective. As consumers, we've all surely seen this in action, at some point in our customer service dialogue. So it's hardly stating the unknown. What makes this all the more of an issue is that the report suggests that not only is this a recognised problem, but it also implies that limited remedial action is actually being done to combat this within any given organisation. Perhaps Communications Directors need to look within more than without?
