They also claim that there are now more than 4 million internet users in the UK who are connected via broadband - the last million of which were signed up over the past 4 months. According to Broadband in the UK gathers pace: Part of the surge in people signing up was due to BT stretching the reach of ADSL - the UK's most widely used way of getting broadband - beyond six kilometres.
