The method involves distributing a screensaver for PC and Mac, that sends requests to these sites totally an estimated 3.4 MB of bandwidth - per user. However, this is obviously a dangerous practice, not least because DDOS attacks could be regarded as illegal - but also because there is always going to be the danger of taking out bona-fide sites.
