Shopping online

So a friend talked about shopping online at Tesco. It sounds cool - and hassle free. 15 minutes online versus the 90 minutes to drive to the store, do my shopping, checkout, get home, etc.

So I went to tesco.com, registered, and then went to shop.

Only it's all menu navigation - there are no pictures with the groceries. It's all about nothing more inviting than surfing text through extensive navigation menus that lead to pages of text and "add to cart" links.

I tried the site in Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer, but nothing in either.

When I shop, I like to see what I'm buying -I even like to buy new stuff, too. I don't go to supermarkets to surf text-only labels on shapeless packaging. In fact, some companies even spend a lot of money and marketing on the presentation. So why doesn't Tesco care for any of that on its site online? Where is the convenience if I can't see what I'm buying?

I thought to send e-mail feedback - but guess what? There's no obvious contact e-mail anywhere on the site.

Perhaps Tesco's should reconsider their marketing, because at the moment their presentation on and offline is distinctly lacking.
