Opera, which is normally provides a subscription-based browser product, had attempted to increase its share in universities with a single $1 purchase fee to supply the browser with all advertising removed. However, although establishments such as Oxford University, Harvard, and MIT, all offer Opera on their networks, Opera has now dropped even the $1 charge, in an attempt to increase distribution.
