Apple faces class action suit
Apple are facing legal action in the USA after vendors claimed that old computers are being supplied as new, and that warranty periods were being tracked from time of shipping, rather than time of purchase.
Reported by the Register in Customers, resellers bite Apple back, it details that the action is being taken by three different law firms, filing San Francisco.
Apple resellers are also alleging that confidential customer lists they provide to Apple, are being used by Apple to promote its own chain of retail stores at their expense.
There is no comment yet from Apple, but the claims are damaging to a company that has otherwise presented itself as concerned with consumer interests.
