In Houses 'breach ��100,000 UK-wide', the BBC picks up the report and details some of the fastest growing pirce areas - all of which now lie outside of the south-east of England. In recent years the property market has acted as in an eleastic manner, with changes in the property market impacting London and the south-east of England first, with the trend then rippling out throughout the rest of the UK. While some counties may be experiencing increased growth, in reality they are simply catching up with the general housing price trends. The slowdown in house prices in the south-east of England is especially indicative of the immediate future of house prices, which analysts believe are on the verge of recession.
