The Land Registry has opened up to full public view its database.
Although the service will cost 2 a time, it allows people to check out recorded boundaries, limitations of use - and also how much was paid for the property.
Trialled since 2003, the scheme has already generated over 1 million in revenue, and is hoped will make the property market more transparent.
